2013 Ladies Day on 16/5/13 by Dean DewhurstLast Saturday the 11th of May saw the running of the first Ladies Day for 2013. A very enjoyable afternoon was had by the Ladies and members in attendance where a 300 F Class format was run.
2x details of 2x sighting shots followed by 10x shots to score on the 300m High Power target was the program for the day where the Ladies could shoot as little or as much as they wanted with the choice of shooting from the benches or prone off the mound.
The day was open to all interested female acquaintances of the TPVRC members who wished to experience try rifle target shooting as well as get along to the range to see what happens on a weekly basis.
All ladies present completed the two details where it was noted by one committee member was game on this year with both the shooters and the coaches giving more attention to the shooting, and did not the scores reflect it. Some outstanding scores were shot considering that this is only the second time that the majority of these Ladies shot a rifle.
Congratulations to Julie Barnier who shot the highest score of the day being a 98.3 and a 99.6 for a grand total of 197.9 out of a possible 200.20
Website Update on 24/12/12 by Harry GullifordMerry Christmas everyone! As you may have noticed, the Tamworth & Peel Valley Rifle Club website has had a bit of a redesign and overhaul. The main reason for this is to make it easier to keep the website up to date, as well as having a faster load time, making it easier to navigate through and more visually appealing. I hope you like it as much as I do!

A Great Year for the Club (2012) on 20/12/12 by Dean DewhurstIt's been another great year for the club both at home here at the Loomberah range with a huge effort put in by the members with working bees and also with their shooting, but also with the number of members travelling and competing at away shoots representing the TPVRC.
2013 has an even bigger calendar planned with night shoots, ladies days, prize shoots as well as once again hosting the Australian International High Power Nationals in April which runs over 4 days and the Annual Service Rifle Championships in October. The 2013 calendar is now accessible here.
Don't forget that the first shoot in 2013 will be a night shoot and is set down for Saturday the 5th of January.
The TPVRC Committee would like to thank The Northern Daily Leader, NBN, Prime7 and ABC Radio for their support throughout the year.
Special thanks must also go to Tamworth Firearms, Harris Solicitors and Tamworth Trophy Supplies for their support also.
Lastly, the TPVRC committee would like to wish all the members and their families a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year as we take a well earned break and look forward to what will be another fantastic year in 2013.
